REDD NEWS: REDD Appoints De Group Contracting on its Landmark Redevelopment of One Palace Green

Situated on Kensington Palace Gardens, One Palace Green is one of the capital’s most anticipated new residential projects. Owing to its nature, situation, and pedigree the road commands the title of one of the world’s most expensive and coveted addresses. We have appointed De Group Contracting as the primary contractor entrusted with spearheading the construction and redevelopment of the premises, with work progressing swiftly.

Located on a quarter acre site on Kensington Palace Gardens, this development is extremely rare. Originally the London residence of George Howard of Castle Howard, the 9th Earl of Carlisle, the Grade II* Listed mansion property will comprise five apartments and a separate coach house. Completion is scheduled for summer 2025.

The gateway residence to the half mile road flanked by embassies and private mansion residences, One Palace Green is secured behind double gates and a carriage driveway, as well as the road’s own 24-hour security team and guarded entry and exit gates. The team behind this project is world-class. De Group Contracting joins appointed interior designer Martin Kemp Design and landscape designer Randle Siddeley Limited.

Designed in Queen Anne revival style by architect Philip Webb, the property features original interiors by William Morris of Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Company. Ultra-luxury in nature, there will be a concierge, private parking and a number of branded lifestyle partnerships tied into ownership within the building. In keeping with our wider development ethos and environmental ambitions, the building’s thermal performance is paramount, with the ground source heat pump providing energy efficient heating and cooling and other improvements being made to the building’s fabric.

Mark Tredwell, Head of Development for REDD Commented: “The appointment of De Group marks a significant milestone in the development of One Palace Green. This is an exceptional development and we feel sure in the appointment of Robert Pincham and his team. We aim to deliver a way of living in One Palace Green that is world-class and this ethos will run through every aspect of the project from the build to the ongoing lifestyle services. On completion, this project will join the ranks of other globally recognised residential addresses and we have built the team to deliver it accordingly.”

Our appointment on this unique development adjacent to Kensington Palace maintains our foothold in the central London, super prime residential sector. Utilising our unique skill set and integrating in-house structural capability, we are excited to be undertaking a remarkable transformation of this Grade II* listed mansion.”
