6 Balfour Place
Facade Retention Scheme
6 Balfour Place is located in the heart of Mayfair and was acquired by REDD on behalf of their investors in August 2019. It is to be redeveloped into a collection of luxury residential apartments, with far reaching views over Mount Street and on to Hyde Park.
The property was originally designed by Eustace Balfour and constructed as a single house in 1890. It is a freehold property of some 5,400 sq ft and will be reconfigured into four apartments including three 2-bedroom laterals and one 3-bedroom penthouse.
REDD identified and appraised the site for their investors, managing all legal due diligence in the acquisition stage. They are now appointed as the Development Manager and Project Manager to control and oversee the redevelopment process. REDD will also undertake the on-going Property Management once the redevelopment is complete.
Leading international designer 1508 has been appointed to undertake the interior design and architectural space planning, with Savills and Wetherell acting as Sales Agents. The wider professional team include Formation Architects, Civic Engineers and Edward Pearce.
The project is currently in the Planning and technical design stages, with delivery anticipated in 2021.
